Human Design Incarnation Cross | The Left Angle Cross of Healing (25/46 | 58/52)

As long as we live on Earth, we will need healers. If your Incarnation Cross is the Cross of Healing, your purpose is to bring healing energy to the world.

So, today let’s dive into the Cross of Healing.

(If you’d like to learn about other Incarnation Crosses, check out my posts on the RAX of the Vessel of Love and the RAX of Consciousness)

Let’s start where I always start when I talk about Incarnation Crosses >>>

What is an Incarnation Cross?

Our Incarnation Cross is derived from the positions of the Sun and Earth in both columns (Mind and Body) of the Human Design chart:

Our incarnation cross is not a destiny, destination, or something that automatically happens to us…instead, it is an energy that we shift into through dedication to following our Strategy and Authority.

As we shift into this energy, we awaken and our expression as our true self unfolds.

The Left Angle Cross of Healing

When you have the Incarnation Cross of Healing, you can embody your cross’s energy by:

1. Healing yourself and maintaining your physical and emotional health.

2. Holding a loving, harmonious space for the healing of those around you.

When you’re living in the energy of your Cross of Healing, your mere presence is both a catalyst and a balm to the people around you. You may also find that you are more attuned to imbalances in other people than the average person—you can see illness and feel the impetus to resolve it. However, when you have this Incarnation Cross, it is important to establish and maintain emotional, energetic, and mental boundaries. Not only can you not help others when you’re unwell, but you can be prone to taking on other people’s diseases.

Ultimately, you’re not responsible for everyone—you can’t be! But by being responsible for your own well-being, you can have a massive impact on the world. By healing yourself, you can embody your cross effectively.

Embodying Your Cross

Because we are meant to embody our Incarnation Cross (and not just know about it), we often experience specific hardships and lessons on our path to deepen our understanding of the energetics of our purpose. In the case of the Incarnation Cross of Healing, you may experience getting sick and learning how to heal—your journey can become an inspiration and an example for those around you. Your experiences healing yourself and developing an intimate relationship with sickness can help you understand the mechanics of healing.

It’s also important to remember that healing isn’t all peace and positivity. All healing starts with acknowledging that we are sick, which can be unpleasant. Because your aura can be the catalyst for people realizing they need to heal, you can subconsciously trigger the people around you, and they might feel uncomfortable in your presence if they are not ready to begin their healing journey.

Operating Outside of the Mainstream

People with the Cross of Healing may feel called to use alternative knowledge and methods to heal things that mainstream medicine and mental health ignore or can’t address. For example, Manifestor Vaness Henry, who is a Cross of Healing, uses Human Design to understand why people get illnesses like cancer, as well as how to create supportive and healing environments in your home. She’s not trying to challenge mainstream medicine with her work—instead, she wants to expand the world of healing using new tools to explain some things that other modalities cannot.

Because she has the Cross of Healing, her focus in Human Design is always wellness. Even though we are all experiencing the same world, our individual purpose (and Incarnation Cross) will shape how we approach what we see. Embodying her cross has taken her on a journey of healing from cancer, watching other family members experience cancer, and using Human Design in conjunction with other shamanic healing modalities to restore imbalances and create a supportive place for the body, mind and spirit. It’s cool to see all the ways that individuals can approach Human Design!

Now, let’s touch on the two versions of the Incarnation Cross. Depending on which one you have in your conscious Sun, you will express this cross differently.

If you’re not sure which one you are, I’ve written about how to find your correct variation.

Conscious Sun in Gate 25 — The Left Angle Cross of Healing 1

Gate 25 holds the energy of innocence and a loving and healing presence that is open to all—as such, you can appear “cool” or detached to the people around you, even though you have a deep well of caring for other people. People with this gate in their conscious sun have a special ability to bridge the physical and spiritual, bringing healing energy from other realms down to our physical bodies. It’s important for you to surround yourself with people who are generous and nurturing. Otherwise, you can be at risk of being drained or taken advantage of.

Conscious Sun in Gate 46 — The Left Angle Cross of Healing 3

Gate 46 heals others with their mere presence—when they are aligned, they have a love for life and for being alive in a physical body. Even though you still have a deep connection to the spiritual realms, you will find that when you are grounded, present, and in touch with your physical self by caring for your body and enjoying the sensual pleasures of life on Earth, you thrive. People feel the love you have to offer and will be drawn to you—it’s important that you maintain healthy boundaries so that you’re not habitually in environments where people drain you or take advantage of your loving nature. Your presence is naturally healing because it allows others to be open and relaxed around you.

Living Your Incarnation Cross

So, how do we live our Incarnation Cross?

I love how Ra Uru Hu explains this:

“Our Incarnation Cross isn’t something that automatically emerges as we go through our deconditioning process, nor does it provide instant gratification...when we function as our differentiated self in the world, our cross literally but quite naturally takes over our life...we don’t awaken to our cross, we awaken in it.”

— The Definitive Book of Human Design

The meaning behind our Cross isn’t always apparent right away. Contemplate it and give it some time to sink in. Experiment with how you might shift into its energy.

As a Cross of Healing, choosing environments that are supportive, healthy, and accepting of your innocent and loving nature is a great first step!
