The Euphoria of Saying No: An Exercise for Generators and Manifesting Generators
Today, I’m sitting here staring at my to-do list in Notion, remembering how good it feels to say no.
If you’re a Generator or Manifesting Generator in Human Design, your “yes” and “no” is your most valuable currency. Not only is your life force and time precious, but when we fight against our Sacral motor (which is either on (yes, I want to do this) or off (no, I don’t want to do this), we can quickly drain ourselves and feel frustrated.
If you have Emotional Authority, you’ll need a little more time to make larger decisions (a.k.a. decisions that will involve a substantial amount of your time/energy or things you’ll have to live with for a long time).
Saying no isn’t always about saying no to other people (although sometimes it is). Often, it’s about saying no to yourself:
No to logical ideas that don’t actually energize you
No to things you feel like you “should” do
No to things you used to love to do but don’t anymore
This week, I’m doing an experiment: paying attention to what I’m saying yes to. Like, really paying attention. In the areas of my life where I have full control over how I use my energy, like my business, I am saying a full no to anything that does not feel completely energizing.
I talk more about it in my podcast above!
Interested in taking on this experiment? Try it for a day, a few days, or a week! Let me know what you experienced below in the comments!
How do I know if it's a sacral response OR my mind nudging me from a space of lack, neediness, or victimhood?
