How do you *know* your lack of energy is the Generator Plateau?

I’ve written about the Generator Plateau here, but as I’ve continued in my Human Design experiment, I’ve seen myself go through many different plateaus.

Have I handled them all well? Not really. But in the last couple of weeks, I’ve been in a plateau and I’ve felt pretty peaceful.

I haven’t known what to do next. I haven’t felt any real surge of energy toward anything new. I haven’t seen the path laid out in front of me yet and it has required massive trust.

I also acknowledged that I had just accomplished some big things! I had finished some chapters. And there was space for something new to appear.

So, I started to reflect…what is different this time?

I realized that I had come up with a simple formula in my head that I could run through whenever I felt frustrated and like I wanted to quit something and I wanted to share it with you!

QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF WHEN YOUR ENERGY HAS WANED:

You’ve hit a stopping point. Maybe you’ve just finished part of your project or accomplished a goal.

Your energy feels stagnant and you aren’t sure what to do next…

How do you know if you should quit or continue?

  • How do you know if this is what you should still be pursuing?

  • How do you know if this is what you actually want to do?

  • How do you know you entered this correctly?

Here’s how you can figure it out:

Basically, I ask myself...do I still want this? Does the idea of creating this still light me up when I think of it happening, as opposed to focusing on my current lack of energy or obstacles?

If the answer is yes I know I can’t quit and I should patiently wait for my next response.

If I give it some time and realize that the whole thing came more from a “should” then I honor that and consider directing my energy toward something else.

Love,

Rachel
